SUN VILLAGE CENSUS:
US Census records conflict w/ Sun Village
Sun Village, a small unincorporated community in Los Angeles County, has a unique identity crisis when it comes to its residents. The majority of the residents within the boundaries of Sun Village claim they live in Littlerock, California, according to the 2010 census which has a population of 1,200. Another large percentage claim they live in Palmdale, while another percentage say they live in Lake Los Angeles. This confusing situation has led to a phenomenon known as "reverse redlining."
